Grand View’s first orthopaedic specialist, Richard Godshall, MD joined the hospital in 1965. This service rapidly expanded and Dr. Godshall recruited partners who brought a new dimension of orthopaedic expertise to Grand View. Beginning in the 1970s, total joint replacements were performed on hips and, with the overwhelming success of the total hip replacements, total knee and total shoulder replacements were added.
Today, we combine advanced orthopaedic services, from specialized care in the hospital to outpatient rehabilitation services. Grand View provides a wide-range services, including back and spinal care, rotor cuff injuiries, fractures, foot injuiries and surgery, knee injuiries & surgery, hand injuiries, and joint replacements.
In fact, Grand View Hospital is the only hospital in Bucks and Montgomery Counties to receive a 5-star rating for Total Hip Replacement and Hip Fracture Repair, from HealthGrades™, the nation’s leading health-care ratings company. Our hip and knee replacement programs also received Gold Seal of ApprovalTM certification from The Joint Commission for providing high-quality care.
